compass
lighter and matches
Large Garbage bag
3 MRE's (stripped down of the extras in a hd ziplock bag)
Ripstop Poncho
Hooded Sweatshirt
shirt, web belt, tshirt, jeans, socks and Underoos (GI JOE style)
100 bucks cash
Old Eye Glasses (my prescription hasn't changed much)
Aluminum Encased Corsair 16GB memory stick - with a scanned copy of all the important papers ie: birth certificates, mortgage, insurance , medical insurance cards, etc. in PDF format Also have a ton of family photos and a few old family movies on it. These are kept on a encrypted folder in the drive and a Portable Apps desktop program is loaded also. I still have a lot of space left (almost 3/4) on the flash stick. ( I also keep a copy of these sticks hidden in my truck and the spouses car.)
Gerber multi tool
Small first aid kit
7 led flash light
100 ft para cord
Extra set of house/car keys
Roll of TP
Roll of 100mph Tape small
small Grundig AM/FM/SW radio
My Old Hiking Boots (still in fair shape) tied to bag with fresh boot string
Ruger P-89 9mm with 1-10 and 3-17 round mag and 100 rounds of WW 124gr Ball
Nylon Holster and mag pouches

Planning to add a unactivated Pre-paid cell phone

YMMV

The wife has a similar setup no weapon (looking for a P-series Ruger for her bag) with extra clothes for the youngest child.

I've been asked why keep a change of clothes in the bag. A few years ago a buddy of mine and his wife woke up to find the house on fire because of a lightning strike, nobody hurt. But waiting out in the rain with your wife in your skivvies wasn't fun in Aug, would have been real bad in January. The keys to the cars would have helped then also to move the cars away from the house.

Now I keep our 3 hiking backpacks about 1/2 loaded in the workshop with all the usual stuff ;ie stoves, water purifier, big first aid kit ;etc, the only thing I have to add is food, clothes and cram the sleeping bags in the stuff sacks.

My truck and car have variation's of the basic BOB in place in them also.

I believe in defending my home also, but it wont hurt anyone to have a Plan B or C or D......
